You should upload your photos at a maximum of 800 px wide,any bigger size will be resized by aminus and the lost of detail is significant.
By the way , very nice portfolio!

Hi Baz - looks great in B&W. Regarding your query = I'm not sure how you process your images. What I'm doing to get around the issue you had is to firstly reduce the image size (I normally go for the horizontal edge at 1500 pixels). Then CTRL-0 (if using PS and Windows) to fill the screen, then save as .jpg and select the quality (0-12), depending on the end size you want. I normally try for a file size between 200-300kb, and the quality can vary from 0-12, depending on how much detail there is. You can see the quality degredation as you move the slider. Then when I upload, the quality seems to remain. But if you're doing all that, then sorry to waste your time.

Cracking B&W shot! I've had some problems in uploading myself, usually with sharpness rather than colour though!

Whoa firstly i saw a bat ! Seriously if u get yourself far from the picture, the shape looks like a bat ! But still this photo is amazing, Excellent B&W picture, nice lights and well composed.
